Conception Island, Bahamas
Well nearly 3 weeks after we left Georgetown to head south we are precisely 40 miles further on!
We had a lovely trip over to Conception Island and then the weather window that looked so good slammed shut (like all windows eg the football transfer window, they never seem to close quietly!).
So we have spent a wonderful few weeks pottering round here and Rum Cay, as well as a flying visit to Thompson Bay on Long Island to get more fruit, vegetables and diesel!
Despite some frustration at lack of progress, we have had a superb time, the weather has been stunning, sunny days, warm star filled nights and pleasant winds here (slightly further south it has been howling).
The freezer is filled with lobster from our various hunts (sadly Conception is now a park so no more hunting there) but stubbornly no fish, just 2 more lost lures. We keep hooking fish that are far too big and they then break our gear!
